Since receiving our license in June 2004, we have evolved to meet the changing needs of the food and drink industry.

This has meant a continuous review of our delivery and employer engagement processes to ensure we remain lean and efficient in both our business processes and product development.

Under the leadership of Jack Matthews, Chief Executive Officer, Improve has built the expertise, capacity and capability to understand the needs of employers and the requirements of employees, and produce solutions that will deliver tangible results.

Improve has four core areas, each with specific responsibilities:

The Finance and Resources team is responsible for all financial and resource support aspects of the company, as well as compliance with best practice corporate governance.

The Operations team is responsible for engagement with employers and stakeholders, and provides solutions to skills needs in the UK’s nations and regions.

The Development team focuses on the creation of new employer-led standards and the implementation of learning frameworks across the sector.

Research and Marketing are responsible for the supply of high quality and up-to-date Labour Market Intelligence and effective communications across the industry.
