Apprenticeships in Food Manufacture

Apprenticeships are one of the most exciting areas that Improve are working on.

We currently have approved frameworks for England, Wales and Scotland which aim to revitalise apprenticeships in the food and drink manufacturing sector and make them more relevant to the needs of employers.

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a work-based learning programme for young people. Apprentices learn through a combination of on and off the job education and training.

Improve have an integrated framework for food and drink manufacturing made up of 9 Level 2, and 6 Level 3 pathways. This enables learners to gain occupational recognition in sub-sectors such as Bakery, Meat and Poultry and Food Manufacture.

Whether you are an industry employer, employee, or whether you are looking to start a career in the food and drink then apprenticeships will be relevant to you .

Improve produces a quarterly newsletter called The Source dedicated to bringing you all the most up to date news on apprenticeships in the UK.
