Research
As part of our role as Sector Skills Council for Food and Drink Manufacturing, Improve will keep you up to date with the most recent research trends and labour market information (LMI) in our industry.
Improve aims to add real value through a strong research capability and the provision of accurate and up-to-date LMI and intelligence to employers, employees and stakeholders in the food and drink sector to meet your needs.
Gathering and analysing research and labour market data facilitates the demand-led approach to training provision and helps to enable a better alignment between the supply of skills, education, and training and their demand within the industry.
Our research will enable the sector and its employers to evaluate current performance and to plan ahead and map out the key skill needs and training development requirements for the sector.
Improve strives to fill any gaps in the available labour market information and offers research and LMI on a broad UK-wide sector perspective, down to a national, regional and sub-sector level. We will also profile ‘success stories’ and case studies of companies who have improved productivity and performance through training and workforce development.
Our research is readily available and reports are listed in the research reports section. Some reports are free of charge and others are available to purchase in hard or soft copy. Details of how to obtain a copy are given.
We are also keen to receive your feedback on existing research and welcome your suggestions for other research reports that may benefit the food and drink industry. For more information or to offer your comments and suggestions on our research please click on Have Your Say.
