There are Food and drink manufactures all over, you would probably be surprised how many there are in your own area. A good place to look is in the local papers in the jobs and recruitment sections and in local telephone books. All now have their own websites which will contain details on what they make and what vacancies they may have currently.

Other useful sources of information about local Food and Drink manufacturers include your careers advisers and the local ‘Education Business Link’. Each area has an ‘Education Business Link’ or similar body which you are likely to have had contact with as they are responsible for developing links with employers and agreeing work placements and work experience.

Many ‘Education Business Links’ not only hold information about local employers and work experience opportunities but can often provide you with details about the range of jobs and careers paths available locally in Food and Drink manufacturing.  One useful summary has been produced by Business and Education South Yorkshire.
