Improve have developed an interactive DVD resource in collaboration with Scottish Executive, designed to highlight the benefits of investment in work-based learning to employers.

A recent report by Futureskills Scotland has suggested that less than two-thirds of workplaces had funded or arranged training in the last 12 months. This DVD hopes to improve that statistic by highlighting the benefits to productivity, staff retention and company culture through investing in training.

The DVD includes an introduction to workplace learning, provides an overview of the food and drink industry in Scotland; shows current work-based training provision; and includes real examples of the benefits employers have experienced from investment in training.
